Rumor has it that the pushing back for the album was caused by a poor reception of the album’s first single “Closer”. The song, which was released on April 15, didn’t manage to reach the top ten position on the Billboard Hot 100 chart and so far it only reached #54 as its top position.

January 22, 2008. If you thought Ne-Yo’s R Kelly lawsuit was juicy, you’re not going to believe what MediaTakeOut.com is hearing. Word around Ne Yo’s camp is that he may be considering suing Beyonce over the royalties for her hit song Irreplaceable.

A person familiar with the details spoke EXCLUSIVELY with MediaTakeOut.com on the condition of anonymity. That person explained, “[Ne Yo] was never paid for writing the song Irreplaceable. There was just an understanding that he’d help out on [Beyonce's album] and when it was his time to make his album, Beyonce would return the favor.”

But the insider tells MediaTakeOut.com that Beyonce is now refusing to record a duet on Ne Yo’s upcoming album. The insider explains, “I don’t know what’s going on, but it doesn’t look like Beyonce’s going to be working on the album … Ne-Yo could have sold that song for hundreds of thousands of dollars … I know that he’s consulted a lawyer over what to do about things.”

And our source supports Ne Yo’s decision to take possible legal action. The insider added, “I’m not sure whether [Ne Yo] will actually go through with a lawsuit. But I know he’s furious about it … If she doesn’t work on his album, I hope he does sue.”

Since this is not confirmed yet to a reliable source, I’m classifying this as a rumor. Many sources are saying Can We Chill will be Ne-Yo’s third and next single. MediaTakeOut.com has learned that in the August issue of Ozone magazine (not Complex Magazine, sorry guys), Houston rapper Pimp C (who is also one half of the group UGK) blasts some of the music world’s hottest artists. We’d summarize what he said, but it’s better if you hear it directly from Pimp C’s mouth.

According to Karrine Stephans and VH1.com, Karrine and Ne-Yo did hook up. (Even though Ne-Yo said he didn’t). This is the direct quote from VH1.com

Her remembrances of Ne-Yo are a little more salacious. Reports about the two of them came out a few weeks ago on blogs such as MissInfo.tv, and Steffans basically confirms the rumors. She claims to have been given Ne-Yo’s e-mail address by L.A. radio personality Big Boy with hopes of being in one of the singer’s videos. Steffans said they met for the first time recently on the set of Fabolous’ “Make Me Better” video and hooked up that night.

“We’re driving down the street, a car pulls up to my car,” Steffans told the men-friendly mag. “My boy Chris is like, ‘What’s up?’ They rolled down the back window and it’s Ne-Yo, and he was like, ‘Is Karrine in there?’ Chris was like, ‘Yeah, yeah, she’s here.’ He got out the car and he came by and was like, ‘I’m heading back to my room, meet me at the hotel.’ We all went to the hotel after that. We hung out all night with Ras Kass and some other girls in the room. The whole time he was just rubbing my feet. Just biting on my feet, rubbing on them. But we were comfortable ever since. Then we spent the next couple of days together. Ne-Yo looked at me right in my face and said, ‘I don’t care what happened before, but your life didn’t start until the day you met me, and no matter what happens if we just stay friends, we end up together it doesn’t matter.’ I just felt like I’d known him all my life. When that got out, I actually panicked. I was nervous. Because I didn’t want him to think that I did that. That’s not my style.”
