Ne-Yo has stated in numerous interviews that Michael Jackson has been a major influence on his music. YOTG, the whole album was influenced by MJ.
When i first heard ne-yo…he reminded me of MJ. The way he sings, his lyrics…all reminiscent of MJ in my opinion. Ive always wished to here Michael do his own rendtition of “Sexy Love.” The reason why i love ne-yo so much is because he reminds me of Michael Jackson.
I think he meant, just like on the interview, that his early albums helped Ne-Yo to find himself in his own voice.

RIP.. <33. they say there will never be another michael jackson, but Neyo, in my opinion is so much better. fair enought nobody could replace Michael, but Neyo has his own thing
and i love him for that.
He looks so upset in this video, you can see it in how he is actin, but michael was such a inspriation to him. & i hope he will be okay soon. i love you neyo, so much.
I love Ne-yo and the MJ influence is an added plus, it means the music lives on.
