Leona Lewis has revealed she had a blast recording a track with R&B star Ne-Yo for her new album – because he kept making her laugh.The 22-year-old X Factor winner, who is due to release Bleeding Love, the first track from her new album Spirit, said: “There’s a song on the album called I’m You which I recorded with Ne-Yo, he’s fantastic, a great artist and a really funny guy actually.

“He tended to do these weird British accents, kind of like Oliver Twist cockney, and kept asking me if I wanted tea because I think he thinks we all drink tea every second of the day, but he was so funny.”

Leona added that her US mentor, music mogul Clive Davis, suggested the collaboration.

“Of course I was like ‘yay’ – really excited about and it turned out really good, I’m really proud of it,” she said.

But she downplayed rumours about Kanye West being one of her new celebrity fans.

“I’ve bumped into him a few times,” she said. “I met him in a studio in LA and I’ve seen him at different events in London as well. He’s a really cool guy as well.”

Leona’s single, Bleeding Love, is out Monday October 22.
